Trudie Nichols

Mrs. Trudie Nichols, age 92, formerly of Bankston, died Wednesday January 5, 2011 in Ohatchee, Ala. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the Piney Grove Church of God with Rev. Delton Harrison officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Mrs. Nichols was born August 2, 1918 in Mississippi to the late Coley and Carrie Gray Watkins. She was a resident of Bankston most of her life and was a member of the Piney Grove Church of God. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry “Buster” Nichols and a daughter, Bonnie Fowler Balderson. Survivors include one daughter, Lue Creaty (Iamon) Frost of Ohatchee, Ala; one sister, Annie Wyers of Tuscaloosa; five grandchildren, Garry (Kathy) Frost, Tim (Tina) Frost, Mike (Kay) Frost, Carl (Tammi) Frost and Pam (Bryan) Bonner; thirteen great grandchildren and eighteen great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Garry Frost, Tim Frost, Mike Frost, Carl Frost, Casey Frost and Byran Bonner. Norwood Chapel of Fayette directing.
