Mr. James W. Terry

Mr. James W. Terry, age 70 of Berry, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Fayette Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16th at 12:00 Noon at Alta Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Milligan officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 11:00 - 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Mr. Terry was born March 22, 1940 in Walker County, AL, the son of the late Arthur Ellie Terry and Leaty Garner Terry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired after twenty two years of service. He was formerly employed with Arvin Automotive Industries and Fayette Glove Plant for a number of years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Daniel Terry. Survivors include his wife, Marie Brand Terry of Berry; two sons, David (Jennifer) Terry and Joshua (Heather) Terry of Berry; Three sisters, Pauline Fowler, Jocia Brantley and Nora Johnson all of Berry; one brother, Austin Terry of Berry; three grandchildren, Jason Terry, Leaty Jewel Terry and Deanna Daniel Terry.
