Sam L. Smith

Mr. Sam Lee Smith, age 92 of Plantersville, AL, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at his residence. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Methodist Cemetery in Centreville, AL. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Harmony Holiness Church in Duncanville. Mr. Smith was born September 21, 1918 to the late John A. and Eva Foster Smith. He was a resident of Plantersville for the past 15 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Holifield Smith and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include four sisters, Mollie Foster of Eoline, AL; Jessie Mae Cochran of Ft. Myers, FL; Christine Evans of Maplesville, AL and Lula Mae Parker of Plantersville, AL; and one brother, R.J. Smith of Centreville, AL. Pallbearers are Dale Smith, James Smith, Paul Smith, Ronald Foster, Mack Swendel and Travis Smith. Norwood Chapel of Fayette directing.
