Robert "Big R" Holliman

Mr. Robert “Big R” Holliman, age 68 of Belk, died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2nd at 3:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel Funeral Home in Fayette, AL with Bro. James Moss, Bro. Tommy Hughes and Bro. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Caines Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Mr. Holliman was born August 26, 1942 in Fayette County, AL the son of the late Roscoe Robert Holliman and Alma Maybelle Strickland Holliman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a former Truck Driver for N & N Trucking Co. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bennie Wayne Holliman. Survivors include his wife, Hilda Stokes Holliman of Belk; two daughters, Michelle (Jared) Robertson and Paige (Steven) Carroll of Belk; two sons, Shane (Nikki) Holliman and Craig (Roxanne) Holliman of Belk; three sisters, Bertha (Luther) Rushing, and Opal Carrell of Kennedy; Kathy Holliman of Belk; three brothers, Wade (Nancy) Holliman, Dan (Sharon) Holliman and Ken (Karen) Holliman of Belk and four grandchildren, Spencer Holliman, Parker Holliman, Parker Holliman, Andon Holliman and Sara Beth Holliman. Pallbearers are Dale Holliman, Eric Holliman, Barry Holliman, Jason Holliman, Terry Holliman and Larry Smith. Norwood Chapel of Fayette directing.
