Beatrice "Bidy" McCormick

Mrs. Beatrice “Bidy” McCormick, age 86 of Fayette, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at her residence. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Don Elledge and Bro. Paul Busby officiating. Mrs. McCormick was born January 20, 1925 in the Zion Community in Pickens County. She is the daughter of the late John Henry and Dolly Baines Driver. She was a resident of the Mt. Lebanon Community from 1988-1993. Mrs. McCormick was formerly employed as Clerk for the Township of Van Buren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Suard McCormick in 1990; daughter-in-law, Carol Barks in 2009; granddaughter, Stephanie Barks in 2004 and four brothers and sisters. Mrs. McCormick is survived by three sons, Kenneth R. Barks of Knoxville, TN; John F. (Flora) Barks of Fayette and Russell E. Barks of Erie, MI; one sister, Evie L. Lacy of Albertville, AL; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Memorials are suggested to the Fayette Nazarene Church, P.O. Box 400, Fayette, AL 35555.
