Bobby Benton age 64 of Fayette, AL formerly of Guin, AL died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in the Fayette Medical Center in Fayette, AL. Born in Fayette County, AL he is the Son of the late Clovis and Edna Holcomb Benton and the Husband of Shirley Crews Benton. He had lived in Guin and Fayette most of his life, was a Veteran having served in the US Army and a member of the Beaverton Church of God. He is survived by his Wife, Shirley Crews Benton of Fayette, AL, 2 Daughters, Mirinda Deann (Kevin) Benton Hamm of Hamilton, AL and Karen Denise Benton of Brilliant, AL, A Son, Nathaniel Dewayne Benton of Brilliant, AL, Grandson Dakota "Koty" Keith Mills of Fayette, AL 2 Brothers, Jerry Eugene Benton and David Earl Benton both of Guin, AL and a Brother In Law, Robert Ellis Haney of Fayette, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents Clovis and Edna Holcomb Benton and a Sister, Peggy Joyce Haney. Services held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Mt. Willing Cemetery. Bro. William E. Atkinson and Bro. David Caldwell officiating.
