Mr. Wilson died Sunday July 3, at the DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 9th at 2:00 P.M. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bankhead Cemetery. The visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Norwood Chapel. Mr. Wilson was born October 16, 1932 in Lamar County, the son of the late Esau and Loving Noland Wilson. He was a resident of Fayette most of his life and was a member of the St. James CME Church. He was Worship Master of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star. Big “A” was a well known Radio Announcer for the WWWF (WLDX) Radio Station in Fayette, beginning with Mr. Jack Black the station’s founder. He was well known for his skill with furniture refinishing and with his Furniture Hospital business. Survivors include his wife, Jessie L. Wilson; two daughters, Sabrina (Tony) Ogden and Donna Wilson Stadmire both of Tuscaloosa; four sons, Anthony (Doris) Wilson of Fayette; Mikel (Ida) Wilson of Linden; Felix (Shelia) Ingram of McCalla and Victor (Phyllis) Poe of Hamilton and eighteen grandchildren. Pallbearers are Grandsons: Carlos Ogden, Tony Ogden, Jr., Skyler Stadmire, Rodrick Ingram, Aaron Ingram, Darion Ogden, Brian Wilson, Mikel Wilson, Charlie Wilson, Benny McColum, Lafayette Poole, Vincent Eatmon, Clarence McCollum and Alan Thomas.
