Gracie O'Dell

Mrs. Gracie O'Dell, age 80 of Fayette died Thursday Aug. 11, 2011 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral Service for Mrs. O'Dell will be Sunday at 2:00pm at the Fayette Church of God with burial to follow at the Fayette Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Norwood Chapel. Mrs. O’Dell was born December 22, 1930 in Mississippi, the daughter of the late George W. and Lillie Sanford Pennington. She was a resident of Fayette most of her life and was a member of the Fayette Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert O’Dell; three brothers and four sisters. Survivors include one daughter, Robin (Delbert,Jr.) Cargile, Holly Pond, AL; two sons, Jeff O’Dell, Reform, AL & Jerry O’Dell, Fayette, AL; one sister, Opal Millwood, Winfield, AL; eight grandchildren, Leslie (Zach) Haga, Warren O’Dell, C.J. O’Dell, Tory (Michael) Colvin, Case O’Dell, Amelia O’Dell, Melissa Cargile, & Tina (Scott) Warner; five great grandchildren, Sophie Haga, Raley, Duncan, Nolan, & Miles Warner. Norwood Chapel of Fayette directed.
