Margie Silas age 93 of Guin, AL died Saturday, August 27, 2011 in the Golden Living Center in Winfield, AL. Born in Fayette County, AL she is the Daughter of the late J.W. and Martha Jane Chaffin Robertson and the Wife of the late Orse Silas. She had lived in Guin most of her life and was a member of the Guin Free Will Baptist Church. She had worked at The Champ Trouser Company, Munsingwear and had worked as a nurses aid at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin. She is survived by 3 Daughters, Martha (Jim) Waigle of Guin, AL, Mary McQuaig of Northport, AL and Margaret (Jerry) Wilburn of Mantachie, MS, 2 Sons, James Silas and Larry Silas both of Guin, AL, 8 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren, 4 Sisters, Artie Mays of Pleasant Grove, AL, Willene Robertson of Columbus, MS, Ruby Cook of Fayettville, NC and Dean (B.D.) Caudle of Guin, AL and a Brother, Claborn (Willie Mae) Robertson of Guin, AL. Services held Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 6:00 pm from the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. James Walden officiating.
