Mrs. Edna Mae Morrison Watkins Parker, age 87 of Fayette, died Tuesday December 27, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Sand Springs Baptist Church with Rev. C.W. Box and Rev. Chad Manion officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 28th after 5:00 p.m. The body will be carried to the home of Dale Morrison, 501 Co. Rd. 51, Fayette, AL. First house on the right past Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Parker was born May 16, 1924 in Fayette County, the daughter of the late Claude C. and Effie Julie Hubbert Corkren. She was formerly employed at Fayette Manufacturing for 12 years and Betten Manufacturing for six years. She was a member of the Sand Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Janie Faye Morrison and Shirley Diane Corbin; one son, Robert Lee Morrison; three grandsons, Michael David Morrison, Mark DeWayne Morrison and Allen Dale Morrison; two granddaughters, Cathy Morrison and Crystal Parker; two great grandchildren, Jacob Keeton and Braxton Keeton; three brothers and one sister. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Julie Parker, four sons, James Edward Morrison (Joann); Dale Morrison (Barbara); Dennis Wayne Morrison (Rosie Lee); Paul David Morrison (Rhonda); 44 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and 16 great -great grandchildren. Active pallbearers are grandsons; honorary pallbearers are Alex Warren, Devin Johnson, J.R. Keeton, and Isaac Parker. Norwood Chapel of Fayette directing.
