James Ray Tidwell

Mr. James Ray “Rabbitt” Tidwell, age 59 of Fayette, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Tidwell Chapel Church of Christ with Bro. Gene Nabors and Bro. Larry Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Mr. Tidwell was born August 12, 1952 in Winfield the son of the late Jack and Ruby Parker Tidwell and was a life-long resident of Fayette. He was a self-employed logger and a member of the Belk Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Parker and Lorene “Poochie” Snider and one brother, George “Buck” Tidwell. Survivors include his wife, Minnie Adams Tidwell; one daughter, Paige Tidwell, three sons, Tony Tidwell, Gary Tidwell and David Tidwell all of Fayette. Grandchildren, James David Tidwell, Kayla Marie Tidwell, Gage Tidwell, Masson Tidwell and Britney Tidwell. Pallbearers are Chris Swindle, Jerry Tidwell, Jerry Nichols, Tim Snider, Richie Glasgow and Jerry Dozier.
