John Walden

Mr. John Cash Walden age 90 of Inverness formerly of Fayette passed away Saturday March 31, 2012 at the Shelby Medical Center. Funeral Service for Mr. Walden will be Monday April 2, at 2:00pm at Norwood Chapel with Rev. James Walden officiating. Burial will follow at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Walden was born in Lamar County June 11, 1921 the son of the late John Alvin Walden and Flossie Cash Walden. He was a WWII Army Veteran and retired from working with the Internal Revenue Service. He moved to Alabaster in 1974 where he lived until moving to Hoover two and half years ago. He is survived by: one daughter, Patricia Walden and her husband Jonathan Lutz; three sisters, Jean McGee, Kittie Lou Jones, Juanita (Luther) Duckworth, and Charlene Haynes; one brother, James (Vina) Walden; one grandson, Gordon Walden Burton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ivalene Walden; one daughter, Brenda Gail Walden Burton; two sisters, Elease Leonard, and Lucille Sims Pennignton Norwood Chapel Funeral Home in Fayette, directing
