Mr. James Alfred Shaw, age 70 of Hubbertville, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Larry Alexander officiating. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Mr. Shaw was born November 16, 1941 in Fayette County, the son of the late Elmer Shelton Shaw and Mary Etta Aultman Shaw. He was a resident of the Hubbertville Community most of his life and was a self-employed Logger. Mr. Shaw attended the Tidwell Chapel Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Lynn Shaw, two grandchildren, Christopher Kirkley and Jonathan Kirkley; five sisters and three brothers. Survivors include one son, Greg (Leisa) Shaw of Winfield; five Daughters, Connie Beasley (Eddie Hensley) of Winfield; Kathy (Bobby) Barnett of Glen Allen; Wanda Hallman of Berry; Jennifer Shaw (David McNair) of Bunnlevel, NC and Terressa Shaw of Eldridge; seven grandchildren, David Shaw, Tony Shaw, Krystal Cox, Brandon Barnett, James Tidwell, Ada Tidwell and Joseph Tidwell; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy (Sarah) Shaw of Carbon Hill; two sisters, Bobby Little of Carbon Hill; Betty (Douglas) Foster of Jasper; and brother-in-law, Tom King of Carbon Hill.
