Mr. Cullen Pendley age 69 of Berry passed away Saturday August 11, 2012 at the Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M.,Monday, August 13th at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Raymond Fowler and Bro. Gerald Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Painter cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Mr. Pendley was born June 24, 1943, the son of the late J.A. “Duck” Pendley and Alcie Johnston Pendley. He was a life-long resident of Berry. He formerly worked as a lead-man at the Central Foundry in Tuscaloosa, he also operated a service station at Berry and worked at Arvin Automotive in Fayette for nine years and at the Berry Wood Plant. Survivors include one son, Jimmy Wayne Pendley of Berry; two sisters, Judy Busby of Berry and Shirley (Norman) Martin of Argo, AL; four grandchildren, Shane Pendley, Nicole Pendley, Ciera Pendley, and Cheyene Pendley; one great grandson, Cullen Lane Pendley. Pallbearers are Pete Norris, Johnny Norris, Shorty Bills, Johnny Campbell, Jonathan Smith and Joseph Gurganus.
