Mrs. Valerine Edmonds

Mrs. Valerine H. Edmonds age 93 formerly of Fayette, Al. passed away Monday December 24, 2012, at the Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral Service will be Thursday December 27, 2012 at 2:00pm at Norwood Chapel Funeral Home with Phillip Harkness officiating. The visitation will be Thursday from 11:00am until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Bethlehem cemetery with Norwood Chapel Funeral Home, directing. Mrs. Edmonds was born in Fayette County the daughter of the late K. L. Harkness and Lula Aldridge Harkness. She was a member of the Fayette Church of Christ and formerly worked many years as a waitress. She also worked at the Fayette Cotton Mill and retired from the Fayette Nursing Home. She survived by her son: Glen (Janie) Edmonds of McCalla; 2 grandsons, David and Russell Edmonds; 2 granddaughters, Lisa Edmonds, and Jessica Fullerton; 2 great grandsons, Eric Campbell, and Zackery Edmonds; 3 great granddaughters, Nickie Campbell, Autum Edmonds, and Libby Fullerton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Edmonds and 9 brothers, Homer, Fletcher, Wilburn, Lonzo, John L., Rayford, Raynard, Fred, and Boss Harkness.
