Billy Ray Gilpin

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Ray Gilpin, age 64 of Belk will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. James Walden and Rev. Lamar Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge cemetery. Mr. Gilpin was born Feb. 15, 1949 in Fayette, the son of the late Jim Edd Gilpin and Flora Ruth Bryant Gilpin. He formerly worked at Georgia Pacific, Arvin and Pipeline Construction Co. Mr. Gilpin died Friday, February 22, 2013 at Fayette Medical Center. Survivors include three sisters, Barbara Sullivan of Belk; Gail Belk of Belk; and Jimmie (Olen) Hudson of Millport; one brother, James (Sheila) Gilpin of Millport; nine nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Chuck Crowe, David Sullivan, Nick Wilson, Chris Wilson, Josh Wilson and Justin Gilpin. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Ray Sullivan, Dr. Charles Nolen, Dr. Anne Lewis, Dustin Crowe, Sandy Brand and Rick Belk.
