Mr. Johnny Clive Williams, Sr. age 79 of Fayette died Saturday March 23, 2013 at his residence. Funeral Service for Clive will be Friday March 29, 2013 at 11:00am at Norwood Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Reeder and the Rev. Tyler Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the McConnell Section of the Fayette Memorial Gardens cemetery. The visitation will be Thursday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Norwood Chapel. Clive was born in Fayette April 20, 1933, the son of the late Thomas Alexander Williams and Louise Renfroe Williams. He worked for Shelby Die Casting Co. for over 20 years, beginning employment in Shelby, Mississippi and later assisted with the opening and operation of Shelby Die Casting plant in Fayette. He then operated his own company, Eagle Engineering. Clive was blessed with the talent for working with his hands and a mind for mechanical design. He loved to take a piece of equipment apart and rebuild it “Clive’s way”. Clive enjoyed antique cars, fishing and spending time with his dog, Buster. He was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Fayette. Survivors include, two sons, David Williams of Fayette, Al., Danny (Dana) Williams of Jacksonville, Al., four grandchildren, Leesa Booth, Laura Williams, Lucy Williams and Thomas Wesley Williams He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Clive Williams, Jr, his granddaughter Jessica Hardin and his brother, Jerry Williams. Pallbearers will be Aaron Parrish, Tony Williams, Austin Kimbrell, Will Kimbrell, Wayne Meherg, and Max Brasher. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or The Parkinson’s Foundation
