Ruth Barnes Bobo

Mrs. Ruth Barnes Bobo, age 83 of Fayette, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April, 9th at 12:00 Noon at the Fayette Church of God. Rev. Jarrett Lovelace and Rev. Claude Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon. Mrs. Bobo was born September 30, 1929 in Lamar County, AL the daughter of the late Thomas Edward Barnes and Martha E. Woods Barnes. She was a resident of the Covin community for sixty years. She formerly worked for Sterilon for 20 years. Mrs. Bobo was a member of the Fayette Church of God.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Bobo in 1990; two brothers and one sister. Survivors include two sons, Don (Sandra) Bobo of Fayette and Jerry Dale (Becky) Bobo of Northport; two sisters, Jean Pilkington and Ann Chandler of Birmingham; two brothers, Bryan Barnes of Crossville and Jerry Barnes of Fayette; three grandchildren, Cheryl McClain, Patrick Bobo and Lauren Bobo; two great grandchildren, Troy McClain and Madelyn Bobo. Pallbearers are Patrick Bobo, Joel Bobo, Troy McClain, Nick Bresnahan, Bradley Watkins and Keith Bobo. Honorary pallbearers are Mary Bowlin, Earnie Mae Bonner, Michael Watkins, V.W.
