Aline S. Haley

Mrs. Aline Shackelford Haley, age 84 of Fayette, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The visitation will be Friday evening from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Mrs. Haley was born Feb. 14, 1929 in Fayette, the daughter of the late Carlos and Berta Fleming Shackelford. She was a life-long resident of the Covin community. She was a member Eastern Star and New Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Haley of Eufaula, AL; Linda Vinson of Muscle Shoals, AL and a niece that she raised as her daughter, Toni Johnson (Wayman) of Berry, AL; one sister Charlene Gary of Fayette; one brother, Riley (Audrey) Shackelford of Fayette; two grandchildren, Kimberly N.Gabel (Brandon) and R. Chad Vinson; three great grandchildren, Kennedy Vinson, Angel Gatrey and Gabriel McArthur.
