Mildred Irene South Loe, 91, formerly of Fayette, Alabama, passed away, after a long illness, in Milan, Tennessee, on December 16, 2013. Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in the “Gumbud” Community. Rev. Scott McCullar and Rev. Dale Mitchell will officiate. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Ms. Loe was born November 23, 1922 in Fayette County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Ulysees Efford South and Susian Martha Clelia Roberts South. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and was retired from the Fayette Cotton Mill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Joan Loe; three brothers, William Lee “Bill” South, Vermon Ulysees South, and Jimmy South; and one sister, Bertice South James. She is survived by Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews; also, Nieces and Nephews as caregivers, Martha and Howard Lovell of Cedar Grove, Tennessee; and Kay and Jim O’Daniel of Medina, Tennessee.
