Margene Walker

Miss Margene Walker, age 89 of Kennedy, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Covenant Hospice at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, FL. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kennedy United Methodist Church with Rev. Heath Allred, Rev. Terry McAdams and Rev. Dennis Atchenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Kennedy City cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m. Miss Walker was born August 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Thurman and Faustine Plott Walker. She was a life- long resident of Kennedy and was a member of the Kennedy United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sisters, Janice Newman (Bob) and Olivia Walker; Nephews, George Newman (Joy), Mike Newman (Vicki) and Nieces, Gina Campbell (Tom) and Leah Thomas (Donald); nine great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece. Pallbearers will be Tom Campbell, Donald Thomas, Michael Newman, Blake Newman, Jeff Coleman and John McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Trull, Bruce Hamner and Wayne Moody. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kennedy United Methodist Church.
