Wanda Verret

Mrs. Wanda Verret, age 58 of Houma, LA, formerly of Fayette, died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Larry Colburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Ground cemetery. The visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Mrs. Verret was born March 3, 1956 in Walker County, AL, the daughter of the late Robert and Cora Bridgeman Kilgore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Corkerin; one sister, Rebecca Kilgore and one brother, Robert Lee Kilgore. Survivors include her husband, Junius Verret; one daughter, Millie Miller (Doug); one son, Lee Corkerin (Emily); sister, Marilyn Brasher; brothers, Jimmy Kilgore (Brenda) and Jerry Wayne Kilgore (Sandra); six grandchildren, Mark Miller, Max Miller, Destiny Miller, Elbie Corkerin, Chaz Corkerin and Radlee Corkerin.
