Mrs. Louise Freeman, age 90 of Berry, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Hospice of West Alabama after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.at Norwood Chapel with the Rev. Ed Steelman and the Rev. Robert Yerby officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove cemetery. The visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Louise was born April 30, 1924 in Bankston, AL, the daughter of the late Claude and Myrtle Watkins Parker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Lewis Freeman and three sons, L.C. Freeman, Johnny Freeman and Rickey Freeman. Survivors include three children, Shelby Freeman Yerby of Northport and Kay Howton of Tuscaloosa; one son, Billy Freeman of Cedar Bluff, AL; one sister, Sybil (Bo)Wilson of Lake City, FL; two granddaughters she raised as her own, Tammy Freeman Jones and Renay Freeman plus eleven other grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Ricky Matthews, Jason (Dawg) Walker, Jason (Smiley) Smith, James (Chopper) Sands, Mark Bliven, and Mark Allison. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Jones, Nell Yarbrough and Sherry Walker.
