Betty Hughes

Mrs. Betty Hughes age 87 of Fayette passed away Sunday Aug. 31, 2014 at the Fayette Long Term Care Center. Mrs. Hughes was born May 15, 1927 in Greenville, MS the daughter of the late Clarence Pittman and Ruby Nelms Pittman. She was a former resident of Tuscaloosa for 45 years and a resident of Fayette for the past 31/2 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Pittman. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Steve Hughes of Fayette; two daughters, Sherry Hughes of Fayette and Deborah (Dawson) Little of Demopolis; one sister, Joyce Lamb of Northport; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Hughes will be held at a later date.
