Mr. Roy “Doug” Hubbert, age 69 of Winfield, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Delton Harrison and Rev. Raymond Spann officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayette Memorial Gardens cemetery. The visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel Mr. Hubbert was born February 9, 1945 in Fayette, the son of the late James Roy Hubbert and Sarah Ann Brand Hubbert. He was a resident of the Bobo Community for 30 years and a former resident of Fayette for 39 years. He was formerly employed with Tanner Brothers and Hubbert 76 and Doug’s Quick Stop. Doug was a former member of the Fayette Jaycees. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Cunningham Hubbert of Winfield; four daughters, Teressa (Kerry) Clark of Winfield; Lisa (Donny) Strittman of Fayette; Tracie Inman of Brookwood and Kelli (Bobby) Lacy of Winfield; two sisters, Barbara Gail Harbin and Charlotte Ann Norris; one brother, James Larry Hubbert; eight grandchildren, Garrett Clark, Austin Inman, Brianne Kelly, Tray Lacy, Alaina Kelly, Paige Lacy, Ali Inman and Matt (Mary) Strittman. Active pallbearers are Lance Hubbert, Jeremy O’Rear, Michael Harbin, John Harbin, Brian Afshar, Randy Hubbert, Bob Mayfield, Charles Gann and Mike Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers are all former Doug's Quick Stop softball players.
