Mrs. Twana Lee Gilbert, age 52 of Bankston, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Raymond Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove cemetery. The visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel. Twana was born September 3, 1962 in Fayette, the daughter of Bud and Myrtle Lowery Morrison. She was a resident of Bankston most of her life. She formerly worked for the Fayette Cotton Mill and Elk Roofing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Gilbert on June 6, 2013; mother-in-law, Johnnie Gilbert; grandparents, Joe and Loretta Morrison and Buster and Pelina Lowery. Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Gilbert (Danial Burton) of Bankston; one son, Joey Smith (Jessica) of Ocean Springs, MS; her parents, Bud and Myrtle Morrison of Bankston, two sisters, Carolyn Odom (Cecil) and Cathy Dunn (Ronny) of Bankston; three brothers, Jerry Morrison (Barbara) of Reform, Richard Allen Morrison (Janice) and Ryan Morrison (Lindsay) of Bankston; one grandson, Jack Burton; father-in-law, Ray Gilbert of Bankston. Active pallbearers are Joey Gilbert, Danial Burton, Michael Odom, Nick Odom, Ryan Morrison, Andrew Odom, Ethan Morrison and Dewayne Parr. Honorary pallbearers are Ray (Pop) Gilbert and Cotton Gilbert.
