David Mitchell

to me Mr. Norman David Mitchell, age 68 of Winfield, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield. David was a member and deacon of the Winfield First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Mitchell, daughter, Katrina Mitchell Smith, and 3 brothers, Jerry, Lamon, and Lymon Mitchell. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Mitchell Hayes (Danny) of Fayette, grandchildren, Monica Smith, Justin Hayes, David Hayes (Kathryn), and Kayla Hayes, one great grandchild, Trina Reed, 2 brothers, Willie Mitchell (Janice) of Covington, GA, and Dale Mitchell (Linda) of Fayette, 2 sisters in law, Sylvia Moore (Danny) of Northport, and Elaine Mitchell of Birmingham, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec., 15 From the Winfield First Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Fayette Co. Dr. Paul Murphy and Dr. Charles Ballew will officiate. The visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. (service time) on Monday at the Church. In lieu of Flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Winfield First Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of David Mitchell.
