Mr. Richard Wayne Madison, age 74 of Belk, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at his residence. He went from the arms of his loving wife to the open arms of Jesus. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May16 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Alan Magouirk officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wayne was born July 11, 1940 in Corona, the son of the late Sherman Richard Madison and Esther Louise Thacker Madison. He was a resident of Belk for thirty-four years and a former resident of Fayette. Wayne was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, the Belk Community Club and the Belk Senior Center He formerly worked for Georgia Pacific for 23 years. He was a songwriter and enjoyed Blue Grass, Country and Gospel music. He was an avid fan of Alabama Football. Wayne had so much love for his family and friends. He always thought of everyone else before himself. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife Terri Lynne Madison; Three daughters, Christi Madison Watkins of Sulligent, Cindi Madison (Mike) Oliver of Pell City and Darlene Madison (Chris) Moore of Fayette; one son, Dwayne (Rhonda) Madison of Elkhart, IN; one sister, Wanda (James) Kimbrell of Fayette; one brother, Eddie Madison of Fayette; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
