Mrs. Nellie Cork, age 75 of Belk, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Alvie Nelson, Jr., Bro. Marshall Sutton and Bro. Kenneth Stough officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel cemetery. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Mrs. Cork was born December 27, 1939 in Lamar County, the daughter of the late Palmer Lee Foster and Ruby Nell Wiggins Foster. She was a resident of Belk since 1969 and was a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Cork retired from the Fayette Cotton Mill after 23 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lee Smith and Virginia Wooten and her step-mother, Georgia Andrews. Survivors include her husband, Colon Cork of Belk; one daughter, Cindy Cork Turner of Winfield; one son, Darryl (Tammy) Cork of Belk; two brothers, Herman (Shirley) Foster and Steve (Mary Ann) Foster of Kennedy; six grandchildren, Matthew (Karol) Cork, Trey Turner, Braedan Turner, Josh Wells, Abigail Turner and Alex Turner; two great grandchildren, Anna Kate Cork and Addison Cork. Pallbearers are Brett Foster, Tim Foster, Jimmy Turner and Tony Stough. Honorary pallbearer is Joel Stripling.
