Mrs. Carrie Lee Wilson, age 73 of Fayette, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 24, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1st at 1:00 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the New Friendship Freewill Baptist Church cemetery. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Wilson was born September 2, 1941 in Jasper, AL, the daughter of the late Mose and Ora Bell Guyton McDavid. She was a member of the Gibson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Wilson; two brothers, Oliver McDavid and Arnold Northington; one sister, Lossie Davis and her step-mother, Gertrude Bondman McDavid. Mrs. Wilson is survived by three children, Kenneth McDavid (Terry), Vicky Patterson (Sam) and Kim Stepp (John); Grandchildren, Tiffany Patterson, Kenneth “Dewayne” McDavid, Crystal Wilson, Erika McDavid, Lewayne Wilson (Jacqueline), Commish Wilson, Courtney Wilson (Chelsea), Javonte’ Stepp and Gabrielle Shinault; Great Grandchildren Destane’ Patterson, Ayanna Wilson, De’Ashia Patterson and Anya Wilson; one sister, Flossie Robinson; a niece, Victoria McDavid-Burns and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
