June Pauline Dorsey

Graveside services for June Pauline Dorsey will be 10:00 a.m., Friday April 1, 2016 at Bankston Cemetery. June passed away on March 21, 2016. June was born in Bankston on February 4, 1930 to Paul and Irene (Buck) Welborn. She attended school and graduated from French High School in Beaumont, Texas. June was employed as a licensed vocation nurse at Mid Jefferson Hospital for more than 20 years. June was the proud mother to her three children, Dennis, Darlene and Paula. She was a wonderful mother to her children, devoted and supportive to them throughout her life. When grandchildren came along, June was a loving grandmother, thrilled to spend every moment she could with her family. In her free time June had numerous activities to keep her busy. She enjoyed antiquing, gardening, and reading. She was also very creative and quite talented at needlepoint, quilting and cross-stitch. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Port Neches, Texas. June is survived by her children, Dennis Dorsey and wife Janice of Broken Arrow, OK, Darlene Byrd and husband Gary of Beaumont, TX, and Paula Murphy and husband Steve of Houston, TX, her grandchildren, Michelle and Pete, Chris and Allison, Amanda and John and Ben and Cary, and her great grandchildren, Missy, Leigh, Colt, Copper, Caleb, Cody, Cooper and Tobin. June was preceded in death by her parents.
