Philllip Jacobs

James ""Phillip"" Jacobs, age 42, of Coker, died March 26, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Channell and Rev. Chip Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery with Norwood Chapel directing. Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dean Jacobs. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Jacobs; sons, Ricky Hopkins and J. P. Jacobs II; daughter, Kaley Jacobs; father, Luther Jacobs; brothers, Dewayne Jacobs (Melinda) and Ricky Jacobs (Shelly); and sisters, Gina Reed and Sherrie Wyatt. Pallbearers will be Junior Smith, David Overton, Vince Coleman, Michael Thomas, Bobby Bunn, Chuck Keller, Blake Nelson and Glen Nelson.
