Lula Mae Melton

Lula Mae Melton, age 92, of Vance, Alabama (formerly of Russellville, AL), died on Monday, July 11, 2016 Mrs. Melton attended New Life Assembly of God in Woodstock, AL. Mrs. Melton is preceded in death by her husband, Owen “Turk” Melton and each of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her three daughters, Doris (Jerry) Wilson of Dublin, GA, Marie Fowler of Vance, AL, and Renay (Hugh) Palmer of Vance, AL; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville, AL. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Russellville, AL. Rev. Chad Payne will officiate.
