Lila Downey

Lila Downey, age 86 of Mooreville, MS, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017. Services will be Saturday, February 18 at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel at 1:00 p.m., officiating will be Rev. John Butler and Rev. Billy West. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow at Pea Ridge Cemetery. She was a member of Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson Kimbrell and Della M. James; husband, Arthur Downey; brothers; Orville Kimbrell, Arnold Kimbrell, Calvin Kimbrell; sisters, Lola Mae Kimbrell and Joyce Kujala; grandson, Jordan Jones; step-daughter, Sue Dees and husband, Ray. She is survived by her two daughters, Carolyn Young (John) of Mooreville, MS and Patricia Jones (Bill); three sons, James Lovette-Black of San Francisco, California, Gary Lovette (Becky) of Muscle Shoals, AL and Tim Lovette (Donna) of Burnsville, MS; step-sons, Olen Lovette Jr. (Pat) of Belmont, MS. and Butch Downey, Jr. (June) of Saragossa, AL; three brothers, Melvin Kimbrell, Bobby Jack Kimbrell (Judy) and Carmel Lynn Kimbrell; one sister, Mavis Files (John Henry) of Berry; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, eighteen step great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and three step great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jonathan “Andy” Young, Hunter Roberts, Jeff Young, Jr., Landon Lovette, McKinley Lovette, T.J. Lovette and Michael Hudson. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of The Meadows.
