Cleburn C. Whitley

Mr. Cleburn C. Whitley, age 97 of Fayette, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at home.  Services will be Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sand Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Harkness officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, March 13, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel. Mr. Whitley was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Olene McClure Whitley; his parents, Clem Whitley and Eula White Whitley; his sister, Helen Bozeman; and brothers, Clarence Whitley, Kenneth Whitley and Terry Whitley. Survivors include his son, Larry V. Whitley (Sandra); sisters, Irene Hubbert and Barbara Whitley; brothers, Roger Whitley and Joe Whitley; grandchildren, Kelley DuBose (Russell), Van Whitley (Tina) and Tom Whitley (Heather); and great-grandsons, Jackson DuBose, Harrison Whitley, Elijah Whitley and Tucker Whitley. Pallbearers will be Van Whitley, Tom Whitley, Russell DuBose, Harrison Whitley, Elijah Whitley and Tucker Whitley. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Sand Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 400 Big Oak Loop, Fayette, AL 35555.
