Robert "Bobby" Hamner, Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Hamner, Jr., age 61 of Jasper passed away May 11, 2017 in Shelby County.  Services will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Indian Lake Baptist Church with Wade Hamner officiating and Norwood-Wyatt Chapel directing.  Interment will follow at Sylvan Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Hamner, Sr. and Margaret Hamner; niece, Jaysa Hanson; and brother-in-law, Bill Curry. Survivors include his daughter, Brittney Hamner Carey and her fiancé, Donald Estes; stepson, Derrick Williams; sister, Sharon Curry; brother, Wade Hamner (Shellye); grandchildren, Harmoney Carey and Dixie Carey; and wife, Margarett Hamner. Pallbearers will be Keith Murphy, Jimmy Hubbard, Jerry Kennum, Eddie Parker, David McNear, Benny Free, Darron Hydrick, and Moody Burns. Honorary pallbearers are members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to IBEW Sick and Needy, c/o Keith Murphy, 3242 Co.
