Clifton "Cliff" Bonner

Mr. Clifton Bonner, age 36 of Berry, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral service for Mr. Bonner will be Friday at 11:00am at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Norman Berry, Bro. Raymond Kimbrell, and Bro. Jonathan Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Grove Cemetery. Clifton had been a resident of the Berry area most of his life. He was a member of the Berry Church of Christ and worked for the Fayette Water Board for several years. He was recently awarded the "Father of the Year" for his devotion to his daughters (Kendra and Allyson) as a single Dad. Clifton was a avid University of Alabama Football fan. The visitation will be Thursday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and Friday from 10:00am until 11:00am at Norwood Chapel. Survivors include two daughters, Kendra Davin Bonner & Allyson LeAnn Bonner; father, Cleo Bonner, Jr.; mother, Myra Jean Bonner; sister, Cathy Bonner Weaver; grandfather, Curtis Baird; eight nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cleo Bonner, Sr., Evelyn Parker Bonner Baird, Dr. Bryce Ellis & Edna Ellis. Active pallbearers are Fellow Workers of Fayette Water Dept. Honorary pallbearers are Phillip Bonner, Brad Weaver, Members of Berry Church of Christ, & Fayette Water Dept. Employees.
