Sarah (Polly) Abbott Cargile

Mrs. Sarah Polly (Abbott) Cargile age 86 of Alabaster,Al. passed away Friday July 9, 2010 at the Shelby Ridge Nursing Home in Alabaster. Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 2:00pm at Norwood Chapel. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. The visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Cargile was born in Winfield the daughter of the late Lonnie and Wilma Dodson Abbott. She worked as a beautician, a hairdresser and a floral designer for over 40 years. Mrs. Cargile is survived by: one son, Jack Cargile, Davenport, Iowa; 2 sisters, Betty Ortis and Wiloise Miller; 2 brothers, Tom Abbott and Bruce Abbott; 5 grandchildren, Pam Chilingirian, Cathy Willis, Bill Cargile, Jennifer Cargile, Sarah Cargile; 2 great grandchildren: Richard Chilingirian and Christina Cargile She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Cargile; one son, James W. Cargile; 1 great grandson, Brendan Willis; 2 sisters, Emma Jean Gaddis and Marjorie Samya
