Cleveland Buddy Dixon

Mr. Cleveland (Buddy) Dixon age 81 of Fayette passed away Saturday July 10, 2010 at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral Service for Mr. Dixon will be Monday at 2:00pm at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Ralph Rice officiating. Burial will follow at the Fayette Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The visitation will be Sunday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Norwood Chapel. Mr. Dixon was born in Nashville, Tn. February 7, 1929 the son of the late William Coleman Dixon and Bertha Ferrall Dixon. He served his country in the Army and was a disabled veteran. He worked as a truck driver and had been a resident of Fayette for the past 19 years. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. He is survived by: his wife, Bobbie Fields Dixon; 3 daughters, Sheila McFarland of Nashville, Tn., Sophia (Elvis)Spann of Murfreesboro, Tn., Suzanne (Allen)Cannon of Smyrna, Tn.; 1 son, Glenn Allen Dixon of Jackson, Ms.; 3 sisters, Margaret Parsons, Peggy Rippetoe, Pat Petigo; 2 brothers, Bobby Dixon and Earl Dixon; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Melissa Thomason and 2 sons, Kerry Wayne Dixon and Rickey Lynn Dixon. Pallbearers will be Michael Dixon, Bubba Dixon, Wesley Spann, Elvis Spann, Jr., Billy Spann, Robert Jones
