Mary Doughty

Mrs. Mary Doughty, age 64 of Fayette, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Doughty will be held Friday, July 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the New Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. J.R. Thomas and Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Norwood Chapel of Fayette directing. The body will lie in state at the church from 10-11 a.m. Mrs. Doughty was born June 30, 1946 in Winfield to the late Murphy Elix and Annie West Rozell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kelvin Lee Doughty, two sisters and five brothers. Survivors include her husband, Fondee Doughty, Jr. of Fayette; Daughters, Patricia (Darry) Poe of Clarksville, TN; Wilma (James) Dillard, Brenda Speigner, Wanda Doughty of Birmingham and Tamika (Shane) Agnew of Baldwyn, MS; sons, Charleston (Lisa) Doughty of Fayette and Tracy (Lakesha) Doughty of Huntsville, AL; sisters Annie Curtis, Winfield, AL; Earlean Brewster, Springville, AL; Mattie Coleman, Lou Nell McCollum and Lula Williamson of Milwaukee, Wis.; Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
