Mrs. Lola Pinion Fields, age 92 of Fayette, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Fayette Long Term Care Center. Funeral service will be Saturday, September 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Norwood Chapel with Bro. Mike King and Bro. George Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Fields was born May 26, 1918 in Corinth, MS to the late Johnson Crowe and Martha Ann Carden Crowe. She was a former resident of Berry most of her life and was a resident of Fayette for the past 25 years. Mrs. Fields was a member of the Fayette Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Husbands, Alvie Pinion and Lester Fields, sons, Earl Pinion and infant Harvey Pinion; two step-sons, Bill Fields and Phillip Fields. Survivors include two daughters, Syble (Thermon) Thacker of Berry and Sue (Richard) Swindle of Fayette; step-daughter, Joan (Ronald) Watts of Bankston; three step-sons, George (Hazel) Fields of Northport, Donald (Helen) Fields and Kenneth Fields of Fayette; twenty grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and eight great –great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Steve Swindle, Joel Thacker, Phillip Thacker, Jesse Thacker, Wes Pinion and Matt Swindle. Norwood Chapel of Fayette directing.
