Willie Trentacoste

Willie Higgins Trentacoste, a former resident of Levittown, NY and Bloomingburg, NY, died Thursday, November 12, 2010 at the Wayne Woodlands Nursing Home in Waymart, PA. She was 90. The daughter of the late Wallace Higgins and Flossie Jones Higgins, she as born April 6, 1920 in Alabama. She was the widow of Peter Trentacoste who predeceased her on October 26, 2003. She is survived by her children: Maria Mutino & her husband George, Peter Trentacoste & his wife Maryellen, Margaret Wagner, Irene Olin & her husband Ronnie and Rosemary Romano; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a brother: Bruce Adams; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son: Thomas Trentacoste; two brothers: Lollie and George Rushing; and two grandsons. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 14 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 15 at 12:00 noon at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 3100 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown, NY 11756. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wayne Memorial Hospice, 601 Park Street, Honesdale, PA 18431.
