Eathrean Nelson

Mrs. Eathrean Nelson age 93 of Fayette passed away Saturday November 27, 2010 at the Fayette Long Term Care Center. Funeral Service for Mrs. Nelson will be Tuesday at 2:00pm at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Stan Willis, Rev. Kenneth Stough and Rev. Jr. Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church Cemetery. The visitation will be Monday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Norwood Chapel. Mrs. Nelson was born August 15, 1917 in Lamar County, the daughter of the late Thompsie Thomason and Lela Johnson Thomason. She lived in Fayette County most of her life and was a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Theron Nelson; a grandson, Daryl Anthony Adams; 3 brothers, Clinton, Clayton, and Clifton Thomason; 3 sisters, Gertrude Wilson, Pauline Rogers, and Charlene Dunn; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Nelson; Sons-in-law, Tommy Buchanan and J.E. Bowlin. She is survived by: one son, Jr. Nelson of Fayette; 4 daughters: Magdalene (Luther) Adams of Braxton, MS; Becky Buchanan, Mary Bowlin, and Kathy (Mike) Dudley all of Fayette; one brother, Cleveland (Louise) Thomason of Bankston; 9 grandchildren, 12 Great grandchildren, 6 Great-Great grand-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be : Tim Buchanan, Danny Adams, Randy Nelson, Dwight Aldridge, Jerry Thomason, Bobby Dooley A Special appreciation to Dr. Christian, the staff of the Fayette Medical Center Long Term Care and Fayette Medical Center Hospice
