Anna Burkett

Anna Kathryn McIntyre Burkett of Northport passed from this life into her heavenly home on January 5 after a long illness. She was born on August 11, 1938 in Six Mile Run, Pennsylvania. After marrying William L. Burkett, she followed him in his career and lived the majority of her life in Northport, Alabama. She enjoyed her life there as a homemaker and mother. After retirement, she enjoyed golf, Alabama gymnastics, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband predeceased her. She is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Jeff) Waddell of Northport and Jeanette (Rick) Oelkers of Harvest, Alabama. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Luke Waddell and Joshua (Caleigh) Waddell, a large extended family in Pennsylvania and her beloved dog, Molly. As we are still besieged by the COVID-19 virus, we are unable to publicly celebrate the life of this sweet wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who met her.
