Armon Newman

Armon Newman, Age 83 of Belk, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at DCH Tuscaloosa. Services for Mr. Newman will be Friday, October 13, 2023, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Bro. Lamar Cox will be officiating the service.

Mr. Armon Newman is preceded in death by his parents; Grady and Iva Newman, brother; William Lennis Newman, sister-in-law; Janice Newman, and brother-in-law; Hollis Roberts.

He is survived by his wife; Mary Newman of Belk AL, daughters; Jamie Newman Boothe of Fayette AL, and Vicki Newman Franks (Daniel) of Belk AL, sons; Jerry Wayne Newman (Regina) of Belk AL, and Nick Newman (Pam) of Kennedy AL, sisters; Brenda Roberts of Fayette AL, brothers; Bobby C. Newman of Fayette AL, and Jessie Owel Newman (Carol) of Fayette AL, grandchildren; Summer House (David) of  Vacaville CA, Jenna Newman of Rogersville AL, Koby Newman of Belk AL, Harley Hubbert (Tyler) of Tuscaloosa AL, Cameron Franks (Sabrina) of Belk AL, Cruz Franks of Belk AL, and Trey Boothe of Fayette AL, and great-grandchildren; Kaylee Franks of Belk AL, Kylie Franks of Belk AL, Laci Kay Franks of Belk AL, Quinn Hubbert of Tuscaloosa AL, Ryder House of Vacaville CA, and Brenlynn House of Vacaville CA.

Armon Newman was born in Lamar County on September 29, 1940. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1959. He was married to his beloved wife Mary Newman for 65 years. He was a member of the Belk Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Newman was a hardworking man and loved to help people in any way he could. He was a business owner and worked in the trucking industry for over 60 years. He loved his family and loved helping them. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Koby Newman, Cameron Franks, Cruz Franks, Trey Boothe, David House, and Tyler Hubbert.
