Barbara Jones

Barbara Sue Rutledge Jones, age 77, of Hubbertville passed away August 28, 2020 at Brookwood Medical Center. Graveside services will be Monday, August 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at White’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery with Bro. James Wyers and Bro. Larry Alexander officiating. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Maxine Rutledge; her husband, Philip Jones; daughter, Cathy Jones; two granddaughters, Sarah Joann and Caitlin Maxine Tucker; and sisters, Mary Ellen Turner, Sarah Johnson, and Betty Jo Box. Survivors include her daughters, Paula Tucker (Timmy) and Shari Everette (Bryan); grandchildren, Allyson Afshar (Bryan), Brooke Hynds (Caleb), Morgan Galloway (John Nicks), Matthew Tucker, and Ashley Tucker; great-grandchildren, Ben, Bryce, and Barrett Afshar, Harper, Callie, and Harrison Hynds, and baby girl Galloway due in December. Barbara Sue was a lifelong resident of the Bazemore and Hubbertville communities all her life. She was a member of White’s Chapel Church of Christ. She was actively involved in the Hubbertville School and community. When she wasn’t busy volunteering, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bryan Afshar, Caleb Hynds, John Nicks Galloway, Matthew Tucker, Ben Afshar, Bryce Afshar and Barrett Afshar. Honorary pallbearers are Harper, Callie, and Harrison Hynds. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to White’s Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery Fund.
