Bertha Sue Wheat, age 69 of Fayette, passed away November 7, 2020 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be Monday, November 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with Rev. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Zettie Wheat; and siblings, Essie Mae Hughes, Bessie Lee Windham, Hilbert Norman Wheat, Lavera Hitt Willcutt, Mary Evelyn Green, Lynette (Aunt Nett) Gibson, Clyde Hubert Wheat, Hulon Dotson Wheat, Harlan Junior Wheat, and Hiram Wheat. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, and great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. “Suzy Q” was the youngest of eleven children. Her siblings adored her especially her sisters who loved to dress her up like a baby. She had a smile that would light up any room. She was an angel on earth and now has gained her wings. Those of us that are left to mourn her find comfort in knowing that she’s reunited with her family that has gone on before her. Pallbearers will be James Wheat, David Wheat, Mark Wheat, and Steve Wheat. Honorary pallbearers are the Mulberry staff and the staff at Hospice of West Alabama.
