Beth Elaine Miller, age 68 will be laid to rest at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL on September 10, 2020. Chaplin, Leonard Rigsby and Caleb Aldridge will officiate. Following the burial beginning at 6 p.m. a Celebration of Life honoring Beth will be held at Sanford’s Grill in the Bankston community. All friends are invited. Preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Muriel Miller; stepmother, Anna-Bell Ballinger Miller; brother-in-law, John Walker Sams. Beth Miller was born November 13, 1951, in Salem County, New Jersey. She enlisted into the United States Army in 1971 and served for 17 years. She served three years overseas in Germany. She became a resident of Fayette County in 2000 when she moved to Bankston to be close to her extended family Penny Aldridge. She worked at Partlow as an administrative assistant for many years before it closed. She loved her community and going to Sanford's Grill. She suffered a stroke in October 2018 and unable to live alone and became a resident of Fayette Medical Long-Term Care Center. After a long battle of cancer, stroke, and diabetes, she is at rest with her Lord and Savior. She was a devout Christian, loved attending church, enjoyed cross-stitching, stamp-collecting, reading, and studying God's word. Beth was loved by her whole family and friends. Beth is survived by one sister, Kathy Lynn Sams, two nephews Kevin (Karena) and Brian (Lisa); one great-niece (Brianna), two great-nephews, Gabriel Nicholas and Ethan Nathaniel Sams of Maryland and her extended family, Penny (Scotty) Aldridge, Lyle, and Alex (Alexa) Aldridge of Bankston, Alabama.
