Betty Sue Parker

Betty Sue Parker, age 76 of Kennedy, left this earthly realm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, accompanied by a host of angels. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Services will be held Friday, June 24, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Feltman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Higdon Memorial Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents; her 6 siblings; her husband, Roland Parker; sons, Donald and Paul Parker. Ms. Parker is survived by her daughters, Peggy Stines (Jeremy) of Kennedy, Martha Aaron (Dave) of Jasper and Jo Ann Hollenbeck (Perry) of Jointbase Charleston, SC; sons, Randy Parker and Danny Parker (Amanda) both of Kennedy; twenty grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Betty was born to Henry Roy Collins and Onie Bell Woodruff on December 15, 1945. She was known as Momma to her children and Mama Parker to her grandchildren. She enjoyed homemaking, raising her children, playing her guitar in church, singing for the Lord, nature (tending to her flower gardens and bird watching) and sharing the message of God’s love and gift of salvation with others.
