Betty Robertson

Betty Robertson, age 82 of Fayette, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Services will be Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel with Bro. Darryl Ballew and Bro. Doug Stephenson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Clint and Dora Hitt Robertson; daughter, Martha Sue Johnson; son-in-law, Dewayne Atkinson; and great-grandson, James Micah Johnson. Ms. Robertson is survived by her daughters, Gail Atkinson, Sandy Dozier (Randall), Michele Gilreath (Marty), Chasity Wani and Tiffany Stripling; sons, Lenny Johnson (LaVetta) and Ricky Johnson (Doris); sisters, Helen Pugh and Carolyn Junkin (Ronnie); Christy Edwards, Jeremy Johnson (Mindy), Josh Johnson (Ashley), Justin Johnson (Lisa), Jeremiah Johnson (Caroline), Patrick Wallace and Cole Edwards (Hannah). She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Ms. Robertson was a dedicated employee and loved God, her church and gardening. Pallbearers are Randall Dozier, Marty Gilreath, Jeremy Johnson, Josh Johnson, Justin Johnson and Jeremiah Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Alabama Hospice Care of Jasper, Fayette Medical Center Home Care, and SHOWA Glove employees.
